IT : WEB SECURITY
WHAT IS WEB SECURITY?
Web Security also known as Cyber Security relates to the securing of websites and servers from online risks. It is aimed at safeguarding the sensitive data by restricting, discovering and responding to attacks. The website security check involves scanning URL for potential vulnerabilities and malware through website security software.
NEED OF WEB SECURITY
As technology changes, it becomes increasingly challenging for businesses of all types to keep their personal and customer’s information on the web secure.
Web security is important to keeping hackers and cyber-thieves from accessing sensitive information. Without a proactive security strategy, businesses risk the spread and escalation of malware, attacks on other websites, networks, and other IT infrastructures. If a hacker is successful, attacks can spread from computer to computer, making it difficult to find the origin.
CYBER THREATA cyber or cybersecurity threat is a malicious act that seeks to damage data, steal data, or disrupt digital life in general. Cyber threats include computer viruses, data breaches, Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, and other attack vectors.
1. VIRUS
A computer virus is a type of computer program that, when executed, replicates itself by modifying other computer programs and inserting its own code. If this replication succeeds, the affected areas are then said to be "infected" with a computer virus, a metaphor derived from biological viruses. Computer viruses generally require a host program.
2. MALWARE
3. SPYWARE
